JOB SUMMARY:

The PrincipalEnterprise Architect will be primarily responsible for driving the technology strategy and processes that drive the Enterprise Technology team. This role is critical to understanding the entire Novocure technology landscape, identify challenges, and propose solutions to all ongoing projects to align with best practices and corporate standards. The Principal Enterprise Architect will also be responsible for creating and optimizing the technology organizations internal tooling, development processes, and integration strategies across all technology platforms. This role will work closely with various business lines within the organization to assess net new technology needs, support implemented technology, and assess requests for implementing new or migrating technology platforms. This position will also be required to understand the specific business processes, and drive technical approaches and strategy that align with the organizational standards.

The position will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the business and technical processes, including establishing relationships with leaders and stakeholders, managing complex relationships among Enterprise Technology leaders, and being able to recommend the best technology solution based on project and/or business needs. This role will also interact heavily with trusted development partners to ensure cohesive technical approach, adherence to Novocure standards, and provide vision and clarity to incorporating new technology into Novocure's technology ecosystem. This position will demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills to clearly articulate and educate the various teams on the organizational strategy and the rationale of the technology strategy identified.

This is a full-time, exempt position located in our Chesterbrook, PA office (remote employee acceptable) reporting to the Vice President, Enterprise Technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and articulate a thoughtful approach and strategy to the Enterprise Technology team across all technical teams (e.g., Data Integration, development frameworks, cloud computing)
  • Assess all current technology tooling and processes and identify areas for enhancement
  • Build comprehensive technology development processes to become standards within Novocure Enterprise Technology
  • Lead enterprise architectural decisions across technical counterparts, including trusted development partners
  • Cultivate a customer-service mindset and build strong relationships across the organization
  • Translate and communicate complex technology challenges or enhancements into tangible solutions that fit within the designed technical strategy
  • Be able to manage complex relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Solve complex business challenges through technology
  • Partner with product engineering team to build and deliver products that positively affect the patient experience and business as a whole
  • Perform other duties and projects, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Experience with software engineering, data integration, and cloud technology platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in highly respected technology, biotech, consulting, or related firms
  • Excellent understanding of technical landscapes, specifically inclusive of SAP, Microsoft, and the software delivery lifecycle
  • Deep knowledge of industry best practices as it pertains to Enterprise Architecture and software delivery
  • Excellent understanding of SaaS platforms, complex data integrations, cyber security, and industry best practices for software and technology architecture
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with senior leaders, effectively push back and ask questions that generate solutions (strong risk management skills)
  • Medical technology, specialty pharmaceutical, or durable medical equipment experience preferred
  • Multi-national corporate knowledge preferred

OTHER:

  • Travel up to 40%
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
