Compensation Data

$160,000-$190,000

Job Summary

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Senior Manager is responsible for analyzing operational, commercial, strategic and financial data/metrics in order to provide informative analysis to drive management actions and initiatives and the planning process. They will coordinate business forecasting and budgets and will perform financial analyses in line with Colas USA's goals. The FP&A Senior Manager will become a trusted advisor to the Finance Department and to operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Creates detailed financial plans and influence investment decisions in line with Colas USA's goals and objectives
  • Develops and leads important metrics to measure the financial health of Colas USA and it's subsidiaries
  • Maintains and builds on current models to forecast financials and operational important metrics
  • Presents financial data to other employees, including to senior management
  • Analyzes actual results vs. budgets/forecasts and provides an understanding of variances
  • Primarily focuses on coordinating established policies and procedures but may have some impact on departmental budgeting.
  • Leads, handles, and manages a team of financial analysts
  • Participates in the development of the Finance departments' plans and programs
  • Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making
  • Works with the heads of each subsidiary to forecast revenue, expenses and cash over the next several years as well as consolidates the plans of each subsidiary into the overall Colas USA reporting to build a composite view of the company as a whole
  • Prepares and maintains financial models and tools; learns and masters the budget forecast model, making improvements for accuracy, relevance, changing business, changing markets, etc.
  • Monitors and reports on market changes
  • Applies financial and economic concepts including financial modeling, economic analysis, cash flow (DCF), profitability, earnings, balance sheet, taxes, financial ratios and alignment to important metrics
  • Ensures that all financial documentation follows applicable regulations (including GAAP and IFRS)
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field required
  • MBA a plus
  • CPA, CFA, CMA or other certification a plus
  • Valid Drivers' License and ability to maintain a clean driving record
Skills
  • 6-8 years of relevant financial or accounting experience required
  • Demonstrated finance, business and construction industry expertise
  • Excellent communication skills in dealing with internal and external customers and business partners
  • Experience with accounting principles, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and analysis across the income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows
  • Self-motivation and attention to detail
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and PowerBI
