The Platform Architecture GPU group is looking for a talented GPU Engineer with strong skills in Linear Algebra and Machine Learning software, HW and algorithms.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience in design or architecture of acceleration hardware for linear algebra
  • Experience in writing shader code (GLSL / HLSL / OpenCL / CUDA) desired
  • Strong experience with software architecture and development desired
  • Experience with distributed algorithms for HPC desired


Description

As part of the team, a successful candidate will: - Assist in hardware performance analysis, linear algebra and machine learning algorithm research, and optimization - Contribute to development of modeling tools and infrastructure necessary to do exploratory design and performance studies - Drive implementation of new machine learning techniques to improve user experiences across a wide range of products and applications - Be responsible for tracking upcoming trends in machine learning hardware and software across a wide range of application types, and assisting in driving product development directions

Education & Experience

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience. MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
