Position Summary: The Application Support Specialist role involves managing software applications, installations, and upgrades for multiple office locations. Thisposition entails designing, customizing, supporting, and maintaining software applications. Responsibilities include software installations and upgrades, configuring and maintaining Windows server environments, managing Citrix policies and updates, and providing technical support to end users.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Citrix Studio, Citrix Director, MCS, PVS, App Layering, FAS, Cloud Connectors, FSLogix.
  • Basic Project Management skills.
  • Ability to install, maintain, and upgrade third-party software solutions.
  • Knowledge of hardware requirements, technical specifications, and documentation.
  • Experience with Root-Cause Analysis and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and completion of assigned tasks.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
  • Previous experience in legal or financial services is preferred.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Take primary technical ownership of software applications within the firm.
  • Understand and implement layered infrastructure security concepts (firewalls, DMZ, IDS, virus protection, etc.).
  • Build and deploy Citrix VDI and XenApp disks.
  • Perform Citrix XenApp administration tasks such as server management, application testing, and reporting.
  • Assist with the administration of Microsoft Teams, OneLogin, Group Policy, and other software.
  • Troubleshoot Citrix issues post-migration (L3 level).
  • Coordinate and document software upgrades and maintenance tasks.
  • Manage server backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity efforts.
  • Document application customizations for training purposes and maintain technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot application errors and coordinate vendor support as needed.
  • Ensure the environment is up-to-date, efficient, secure, and available, and plan for disaster recovery.
  • Prioritize, research, and resolve technical problems as they arise.
