ABOUT THE ROLE

Fox's Quality Assurance SDET engineers are in charge of ensuring the highest quality release of our products. This role is mainly focused on building the automation framework for the project and deciding the best end to end testing strategies for the product. The goal for this role is to increase automation test coverage so we can perform quick regression testing prior to each release. You will be working in an agile team, responsible for performing various Quality Engineering functions, including designing test plans, bug reporting and tools development.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases against our software platforms and applications in the cloud, server, desktop and mobile environments.

  • Analyze and communicate test results and defect tracking

  • Execute white box, black box and manual testing

  • Participate in day-to-day team activities as part of an Agile team

  • Engage in cross functional integration testing within technology teams and with third parties

  • Engage in requirements elaboration and clarification with product owner

  • Enhance and extend the automation library

  • Provide the testing estimates to the team

  • Share the testing practices with the team

  • Technical ownership of software testing infrastructure and improving product quality

  • Take responsibility for monitoring product development and usage at all levels with an eye toward improving product quality

  • Work on automation testing for all existing systems

  • Support all production releases per sprint

  • Research, develop and/or recommend tools to assist the team

  • Working independently, estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities with different teams

  • Continuously identify risks and solutions to improve team processes and product's quality

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • QA automation experience using industry standard testing tools

  • Expertise with hands-on scripting/coding experience in any automation testing tools such as Mocha/Chai and Postman

  • Experience testing and automating secure REST APIs, knowledge of Microservices

  • Experience with Agile methodologies

  • Experience with Git and CI tools such as GHA

  • Experience with test plan management tool such as Testrail

  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written

  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred)

  • Experience on tools like Splunk or Datadog

  • Experience working with subscription or payment system

  • Experience in JavaScript is preferred

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $75,000.00-119,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
