We are looking for a Regional Sales Director reporting into the Senior Director Key Accounts. Focus is to develop the sales and technical support field teams to leverage the appropriate sales strategies, tactics and tools to achieve sales growth through both customer acquisition and in growing the existing customer base. The position requires close collaboration between Marketing and the VP Sales. The ideal candidate is highly driven and performance oriented with leadership skills that drive the sales force and play a key role in the business strategy.

Responsibilities
    Create and implement effective direct selling strategies to achieve company sales objectives
  • Provide leadership through effective communication, active coaching and talent development of team members
  • Proactively follow up all sales calls and activities with territory managers, clinical territory managers and clinical specialists on a weekly basis
  • Involved in the successful management of key-accounts, this to optimize sales revenue and to initiate partnership projects to establish long term commitment towards Oticon Medical
  • Provide a framework for the development of new non-implanting accounts
  • Provide leadership to sales team and actively participate in negotiations on pricing and developing commercial partnerships with customers
  • Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of staff
  • Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews
  • Develop staff in effective sales training, process and influencing
  • Proactively identify changes in market dynamics and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Establish effective collaborative relationships with the support departments including Customer Service, Marketing, Clinical Research, Reimbursement and Regulatory
  • Attend all industry meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate
  • Ensure effective use of and annual auditing of consignment accounts
  • Manage the effective launch and introduction of new products, hosting and presenting at customer launch events
  • Jointly, with other Sales Directors and the VP Sales, plan sales meetings on a regular basis
  • Closely collaborate with regional peers in consistency of process and execution
  • May perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree required
  • 5-8 years in a senior sales role is required with minimum 3 years people management
  • A dynamic leader with a proven record in driving and motivating sales teams to achieve results is required.
  • Experience in Medical or knowledge of the health care field preferred
  • Strong Financial acumen is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers and stakeholders
  • Ability & willingness to travel domestically at 50% is required.
