Department OverviewThis is a fantastic opportunity to be a contributor in Motorola Solutions' growing Halo Smart Sensor within its Fixed Video and Access Control business. This role will be a finance analyst supporting the Halo Safety portfolio. The person in this role will work closely with the operations, sales, and finance teams to track the success of Halo sensor products and will be instrumental in telling the story of how our product development and go-to-market strategies drive financial performance, including the integration of Halo products with the broader Motorola product portfolio.Job Description

In this role, you will be a finance business partner supporting the Halo Sensor business, one of Motorola's more recent and exciting acquisitions.

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Assisting in driving and projecting revenue and gross margin profitability throughanalytics, expense management, variance analysis and investigation,department ownership, and creating visibility for leaders to derive actionableinsights
  • Analyze departmental operating expenses and variance analysis.
  • Assist in preparation of financial dashboards and reporting of key performancemetrics using accurate and quality data.
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual budget forecasting cycles andworking with department managers to collect inputs and perform analyticalreviews.
  • Run monthly trial balances during flash cycles and investigate differences againstplan and forecast
  • Ensure data accuracy and reconciliation to financial systems.
  • Assist with financial modeling in a variety of ad hoc scenarios
  • Support capital budget forecasting and explain variances to actuals
  • Understand the relationship of cost of sales to revenue and which levers tomanage to drive up gross margin.
  • Play a proactive role in implementing new procedures to improve efficiency,automation and integration of disparate systems.

Additional Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting with 2+ years of experience working in Finance, Accounting, and/or an FP&A role
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; and curiosity to develop newmethods and processes.
  • Strong spreadsheet and raw data manipulation skills
  • Prior audit experience preferred, not required.
  • Exercises good judgment, flexibility, and comfortable working in a fast-pacedenvironment under time constraints and across a matrix organization.
  • Strong system skills including MS Office/Google Suite and Tableau; OracleNetSuite, Salesforce are a plus.

Compensation

  • This role will carry an annual base salary of$70,000 to $90,000 per year
  • In addition this role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual merit increases

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required
  • 2+ years of experience working in Finance / Accounting / FP&A role
