Seeking a skilled editor with good editing/proofreading/grammar skills and some online editing/posting experience to help execute company goals for its industry-leading print publications and digital media communities. The Senior Associate Editor will play a key role in the production and delivery of high-quality editorial pieces, building relationships with a network of subject matter experts and contributors to deliver engaging content for our audiences.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Work in a multidisciplinary team with professionals such as web designers, marketing executives, webcast/podcast producers, and photographers to improve content strategy.
  • Review layout of images, graphics, online videos, and other artwork.
  • Create, produce, and manage high-quality content.
  • Regularly edit, proofread, check, and track content for print and digital delivery:
  • Edit approximately 10 articles and proofread 20 articles for monthly print magazine and online.
  • Build relationship with contributors and establish collaboration with other team members.
  • Adhere to SEO rules for digital media.
  • Use social media to optimize content awareness.
  • Adhere to copyright and privacy standards and company policies.
  • Track important key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Track and analyze web site traffic to optimize content and discover new coverage areas.
  • Keep abreast of new trends in digital media technology.
  • Proofread e-newsletters daily.
  • Attend annual trade show to conduct booth visits and cover press conferences given by exhibitors/advertisers and find new contributors.
  • Search news sources for 1-2 stories to rewrite and post.
  • Continuously develop market knowledge to support overall company strategy and content growth goals, as well as opportunities to update old content.

The skills & experience you'll need:

* BA in English/Communications/Journalism

* Previous working experience as editor with 5+ years of experience

* Excellent proofreading, editing, and copywriting skills

* Available portfolio of work

* Knowledge of software such as the Adobe Suite (Photoshop), InDesign, etc.

* Knowledge of SEO best practices

* Copy editing, proofreading, grammar

* Knowledge of CMS

* Knowledge of HTML and related coding (for embedding)

* Image editing skills

* Communication, oral and written
