Job Description

We provide advisory services to third party intermediary Sponsor firms offering a wide range of separately managed account strategies manufactured across our investment firms within BNY Mellon. We are looking for an experienced professional who is a self-starter and eager to learn and gain an in-depth knowledge of BNY Mellon Investment Management's Separately Managed Accounts business. The ideal candidate will have a background in SMA/UMA, trading, brokerage, trade support, middle office operations or portfolio implementation, as well as, have an ability to connect various complex functions across the organization and with external partners.

Your role:

  • Model delivery and trade implementation of Separately Managed Accounts
  • Rebalance client accounts as needed following client directed flows
  • Trade execution consisting of foreign ordinaries, ADRs, and US securities.
  • Manage and coordinate trade instructions
  • Produce and review internal reports such as dispersion/drift, price valuations, cash reports, reconciliation, and client restrictions.
  • Liaise with various personnel from the specialist investment managers of BNY Mellon (e.g., portfolio management, operations, trading, client services, corporate actions)
  • Active participant in developing solutions to support new business and increased efficiencies
  • Interact with outsourced SMA service provider daily
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 3+ years' experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Charles River IMS, Archer IMS, Microsoft Excel required
  • Ideally you will have advanced excel skills with the ability to manipulate data
  • Knowledge of managedaccounts business and understanding of settlement/trading requirements a plus.
  • No direct reports
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide resolutions
  • Superior communication skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team.

Certification:

  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business. Series 7 and 66 or equivalent, preferred. If not, willing to obtain.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $73,100 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
