Job Description

Purpose and expected result of the role

Secure present and future business for Kollmorgen's products through AGV Systems partners. Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will need to balance short term revenue and profit requirements, while building strong long-term relationships with the partner base and new partner and channel opportunities. RSM ensures that AGV Systems strategies address market demands and customer needs and that agreed strategies are implemented and executed. The expected result is to meet defined KPI and PD targets for revenue, margins, funnel management and execution, cost and customer satisfaction metrics.


Responsibilities and essential tasks

  • Develop regional plans to support the stated strategic vision andplan for sale of all AGV Systems business products and services.

  • Be a role model for the company culture.

  • Responsible for meeting assigned revenue and gross profit (GP) targets

  • Lead the regional sales team in the development and negotiation of commercial contracts.

  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base in targeted region.

  • Manage overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management in targeted region.

  • Management of KAM and Business Development including, recruiting, coaching, training

  • Establishing sales funnel processes and timely delivery of funnel, forecast and other key measurement metrics and reports.

  • Define, implement and execute strategies and tactics necessary to meet revenue and account development/growth targets in targeted region.

  • Setting sales targets for regions, partners and Kollmorgen Sales team members.

  • Prioritizing business opportunities

  • Overall responsibility for customer satisfaction

  • Sales responsibility for application projects

  • Responsibility for ABS training and activities within team

  • Sales Funnel management and execution

  • Responsibility for relevant PD and KPI targets

  • Work closely with Product Line Management to facilitate and acquire Market Data Capture and VOC

  • Possesses strong negotiation skills

  • Deep knowledge in sales expertise like Value Selling, Strategic Selling, Prospecting, Territory Planning, etc.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university required; a combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.

  • 10+ years of experience in selling technical products, motion industry preferred
