Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic quality control checks including measuring, weighting, strength testing, packagecounts, and evaluating product or package appearance
  • Examine and inspect containers, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met
  • Saw, dust, and visually inspect product for quality
  • Fold and tape boxes, apply labels, and stack boxes on pallets according to direction
  • Prepare skids for shipment by banding and weighing
  • Load and unload packages from trucks; receive parts into inventory
  • Drives a forklift
  • Perform activities planned by others
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance withpolicies, 5S procedures, and inline withcore values
  • Repackage/restock RMA's
  • Examine and inspect containers, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met
  • Record transactions in SAP


Experience and Skill Required

  • High School Diploma or quivalent.
  • Effectively communicate and work in a team environment
  • Accurately read and comprehend material such as blue prints, work instructions, routings, OMSsheets, measuring equipment, etc.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess good communication skills as well as time management skills.
  • Ability to write to record basic information
  • Knowledge of and ability to compute basic arithmetic
  • Skill and ability to place material in, or remove them from machines.Start, stop, and observe thefunctions of machines or equipment. Adjust materials or controls of a machine such as changingguides, setting timers, clearing jams, and adjusting switches to maintain performance(Replace material, fill bins or supply conveyors, etc.)
  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to carry out one- or two-step tasks(transport, stack, weigh, etc.)
  • Knowledge of and ability to solve problems that have standard solutions
  • Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
