Requisition ID req28104 Working Title Senior Operations Manager Position Grade 14 Position Summary

As a nationally accredited program with a strong educational component in The University of New Mexico School of Medicine, the Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) in Albuquerque investigates any death occurring in New Mexico that is sudden, violent, untimely, unexpected or where a person is found dead and the cause of death is unknown. The OMI, which is a special program within the Department of Pathology, determines the cause and manner of death in these cases, and provides formal death certification.

We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned Senior Operations Manager to join and help lead our team. Our ideal candidate will be highly skilled in communications with internal and external constituents in a multi-dimensional organization. We are looking for someone with a track record of strong strategic management. Our ideal candidate will have experience in change management as well as deep understanding of change in organizations. We are looking for someone who has a great deal of experience in multi-level team development in a changing environment. Our ideal candidate will be ready to dive and access the current situations. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

-Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures

-Advanced analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills

-Advanced project management skills for complex and interconnected projects

-Proven track record of high level leadership

-Ability to make date driven decisions with complex information and report out to various levels in organization

-Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions

-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community

-Highly adaptable

-Long term and short term visionary

-Knowledge and understanding of integrated program planning, development, and administration within a public institution environment
