The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in Internal Medicine. The faculty member will hold a clinical appointment at Morristown Medical Center.

Morristown Medical Center (MMC) in Morristown, NJ is a 735-bed community teaching hospital and is part of Atlantic Health System. The hospital is a non-profit, acute care facility with over 37,000 admissions and over 100,000 emergency room visits each year. MMC has achieved a wide variety of designations including a state-designated primary stroke center, level II trauma center, level III neonatal intensive care unit and Magnet designation for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The hospital offers a wide range of services such as ambulatory care, oncology, neuroscience, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, joint replacement and inpatient psychiatry. The Pharmacy Department offers a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY-2 Residency programs in emergency medicine and critical care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* The Internal Medicine faculty member would work with pharmacy, medical, and nursing staff to optimize the care of patients admitted to medical-surgical units through interdisciplinary rounds.
* The faculty member would have an active role on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee and would work in collaboration with the MMC clinical pharmacy team to develop protocols, manage projects, and provide educational activities to staff/residents. Areas of focus would include endocrinology, delirium, alcohol withdrawal and medication safety.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
* Applicants without at least two years of post-graduate residency training must have at least three (3) years of experience as a clinical pharmacist in the specialty area of Internal Medicine.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Doctor of Pharmacy degree and at least two (2) years of residency training or equivalent experience.
Additional Qualifications:
* Board of Pharmacy Specialists certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) is encouraged.

The Faculty member will collaborate with the Morristown Medical Center clinical pharmacists and medical staff to optimize the provision of information to healthcare providers and patients within the Center.The Faculty member would have an active role in the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and would be expected to provide education and development to medical personnel.
