Job Description

Are you an experienced Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO)? Then we have a great opportunity for you to work within executive-level DoD multi-level security environments.

As a Senior Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO), you will:

  • Develop, coordinate, maintain and execute Security Standard Operating Procedures for the SAPF/SCIF.
  • Work with junior level security officers to balance multiple customer workloads and ensure coverage.
  • Work with government security officers to maintain facility compliance and complete the compliance cycle.
  • Ensure that all personnel under your contract maintain relevant levels of security training and compliance eligibility.
  • Act as the primary after hours contact for facility emergency services in Crystal City (30-minute reporting).

A week in a life of a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO): 

  • Develop program SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) through working with government customers to manage needs and expectations. Taking those established procedures and directing a team of junior security specialists to maintain and ensure smooth and timely workflow.
  • In-coordination with the government security team, conduct annual collateral, SCI and SAP self-inspections utilizing the government provided self-inspection checklists for the facility.  
  • Developing and submitting PAR packages.
  • Developing and submitting SCI nomination packages. /
  • Conduct security inquiries, identify suspected security infractions and violations, develop reports, and make recommendations to the government security team for corrective action(s).
  • Assist in preparation, review, coordination, execution of OPSEC and Transportation security plans as required.
  • Develop, coordinate, submit for approval, and implement entry/exit inspection procedures for the facility.
  • Execute and document completion of an annual physical inventory of Top-Secret material under the control of the facility's registry.
  • Brief customers and educate staff on proper security protocols.
  • Develop and brief security training.
  • Conduct program indoctrination briefings/debriefings, annual refresher training, pre/post travel briefings, and event specific training.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.  The salary range for this position is $ 87,600 - $146,300. Job Requirements
  • 6+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 7 years with an associate degree
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Adept at briefing executives and program IPT level leadership.
  • High Proficiency with MS Office applications, including SharePoint.
  •  Must be familiar with ICD-705, DOD SAP and JAFAN security requirements guidance.
  • Must have experience managing processing and updating DD254s.
